Several pages back you were talking about an older 172 to buy. My first Cessna was a 59 172, 2419Y . It had been a rental and trainer for several years as was by far the best 172 I ever flew. Then bought a 1965 172 Skyhawk new from factory. I have probably 2000 hours in the 2 Airplanes and both were 6 cyl continentals. Never liked the newer 4 cyl Lycomings. The 6's were much smoother and better responding. If it ios corrosion free go for it.
