Where in Central New York? Here in Otsego County, with National Grid (formerly Niagara Mohawk the total charge is 18 cents per KWH. The actual KWH charge is around 7 cents, but the final charge comes to 18 cents when all the additional charges are included. My wife works in nearby Delaware Co. and has NYSEG and their prices are the same.
There are a few isolated pockets around here where people get cheaper power from REA, but that's kind of rare. Also a few small towns that have their own power companies.
