IH2444 - Washing your hands can be accomplished by using any petroleum fluid/semi-fluid. Crude oil or gun grease will cut grease off your hands. ATF's do not have significant levels of detergent because the transmission is a sealed unit not subject to combustion by-products. Certain ATF's have slight amounts of dispersant (which CAN act as a detergent on a very limited basis) which is used to hold solid contaminants in suspension so they can be filtered out during circulation of the oil and not collect in the transmission case.
The fact that you can clean your hands with ATF has no bearing on how much detergent is in the oil.
