I have had DirecTv for 13 years, and most of the time have had very good service. Yes, there are occasional dropouts from heavy rains, but theses are VERY infrequent, and it would affect either Service provider. I have a DVR, and believe me it save a tremendous amount of time watching a baseball or football game. I can see an NFL game in about an hour and half, and see every play. With any service, you need to do your homework BEFORE you sign up....at least it will help you know what to ask.
