How many of the utility companies that GM pays the bill to are union? How much of those buildings were built with high-cost union labor? How many rubber and steel plants are union plants? How much of the fancy machinery inside the plants were built by expensive union labor? Unions have made this country lazy and under productive, in additon to the high costs of products. "Direct Labor" cost, and the UAW (and other unions) have a great deal to do with driving prices up. Companies are being driven into the ground by greed and corruption from union demands they are forced to bow down to. The county here recently went union. All it does is raise taxes for everyone in the county - them included. Not a smart move.
