The guys at the two Ford plants know that the one that builds Explorers will work two weeks this month and then close until after the first of the year...and the one that builds Super Duty trucks will only work 2 weeks in December. Then there's the folks who work at YUM corporate headquarters who heard that a couple of hundred folks there will be out of a job in the coming weeks. And that's just the two MAJOR announcements that hit the evening news in Louisville today.
So I guess if you weren't any of these folks--or you don't count on these folks to buy anything from the place where you work--then the economy's just fine, never been better.
