Wheelhorse E-141 electric lawn tractor

Can someone tell me who knows how to repair my battery operated lawnmower? It runs on 6 twelve volt deep cycle batteries, series connected in two sets of three. It won't charge. I've had the brain in a box rebuilt (NOT CHEAP!) so I think it's the charger unit not working. Am I throwing money away? It's a nice antique and mows the grass very nicely. I'd love to keep using it, but will consider selling to a collector if I can't keep it running.
