I had an S-10 one time ( only once). Heater wouldn't work. I drove it 85 miles with my insulated coveralls on to keep from freezing. Finally figured out it was low on coolant, after tearing the heater apart. I never thought about it not heating because the water was low. Was loosing water because of a broken head bolt. It was almost new still under waranty. The next thing that happened it blew the top off of a piston. That happened under warranty to. I didn't wait for anything else to happen. It had bucket seats in it, carry 2 people with groceries in the back if it was't raining. About like a motorcycle with a side car.
