Hey gang... I just bought a 47 M from a fella in Indiana....I bought it with an engine problem....it smoked a little after it got warm...he said it had been sitting in a barn for quite some time and he didnt know anything of its past.
We have it running good now but still sputtering a little on one cylinder and still smoking blue/white smoke.....I'm thinking she has a stuck ring on one cylinder. I'll compression test it tomorrow. What do you guys think?.....keep pouring witches brew too it and see if she frees up the rings or bite the bullet and rebuild.....I really need the tractor running thru firewood season and I was gonna rebuild it this winter.
