Pecan trees usually have alternating good and bad years, but no production is not something usually seen. Here in central Oklahoma, we've got about 350 papershell trees and not one of them has nuts this year. The last two years we had more nuts on the trees than we knew what to do with, but being a small operation we can't afford to spray for bugs. Thus, the last two years all the nuts went to the pecan weevils.
As for you, I would wait until next year to see whether it was just a bad year, or if there is something actually causing poor or no production. Something that is fixing to get our orchard is overcrowding, and is an issue we are working on.
