Jacobsen had made their own reel mowers but after they purchased Worthington, they dropped their own line because the worthington was a much better design. I think the main reason for puchasing Worthington was for the reel mowers and not so much the tractors but maybe both. Jacobsen tractors from the 60's and later used all Ford power trains. Jacobsen made many different models of reel mowers and I think they are all based on the Worthington design. Jacobsen used to make several very good small engines as well.
