I have a 6 row and pull it with 110 hp. It walks with it at 4.2 mph. I think this is about as fast finger pickups work at 30K population. I have upgraded to presicion planter parts and they are great. Any thing at or above 4.5 mph and population monitor goes nuts! It just don't like it any faster than that. Beans work well up to about 5.5 mph if fields are smooth and it takes HP for that. Remember you are pulling 15 row units planting beans. 110 HP should be fine on flat ground, but any hills need more or you will have to slow down. I would think 130 HP would be better.
