Our local JD dealer built a new store out by the Interstate, but kept the old premises in town 6 miles away for dealer-prepping new tractors, combines, etc. Then--they drive them from the old place past our house to the new place by the Interstate. This is a gravel road, but it carries a lot of traffic and there are several hills.
It can be more than a little unnerving to crest a hill maybe 50 mph and be faced with a combine coming at you with a header from ditch to ditch. And this can be any time of the year, not just at harvest time when you're alert for it.
I suggested they have a pickup run in front of the combine, but they're ALLMIGHTY JOHN DEERE and it went in one ear and out the other. Maybe after they've killed someone and get sued for $5 million they'll wake up.
