Did you know there is a Ford-specific forum on this great site? Lots of info and help there. Giving us some basic info will help... is it gas or diesel? Flat head (spark plugs on top of engine) or overhead valve? Pre-'53 models have their serial number stamped on the left/front of the engine. All later models have serial/model numbers on the transmission housing, just above and to the rear of the starter. Sometimes hard to see/read, as the numbers were hand-stamped, oftne shallow and filled with paint, grease, and dirt.
