We switched from Direct to Dish several years ago. Price-wise, it's a tossup. We have two TV sets on one reciever box, plus a separate box for my TV in my office.
A month or so ago, we had a problem with the TV in the kitchen losing it's signal. We called Dish and they sent a tech out. The problem was the box, so they installed a new one. While the tech was out anyway, he installed a new, updated dish. No charge, all under warranty. Works great again.
