i remember that my fill level plug was on the right side if you are sitting on the tractor, when i was draining the housing for working on the pto shaft i had to pull the seat assembly which houses the power steering fluid off. prior to re-assembly i filled the resivoir with 5 gal. of fluid as it called for which i believe was a little over the fill plug. one way for sure is to pull the plug from the bottom of the rear end and drain it completely. put 5 gallons of oil back through the fill hole in the side of the gear shift area.
