And, what can you buy in Kentucky for under $1200 with a 32 horse diesel, three point hitch, new rear tires, live PTO, live hydraulics, differential lock, dual-range transmission, a front loader and good parts availability? I bet not very much.
In regard to the cobbed up trip-bucket and front end - yeah - it's a pretty crappy job. It would be smarter to buy a $5000 or $6000 tractor if you can't work on them yourself?
As to the distance - yes, that's a whole different story. That's why some tractors actually go cheap on Ebay - too costly to truck long distances. I'm in New York - and if somebody offered me that tractor for free - but I had to go pick it up in Kentucky - I wouldn't want it either. But, that has little to do with - if the tractor was a bargain, or not - to some people.
