John T, thank you for your help. I looked at your troubleshooting breakdown and when I attempt to motor test the generator, I have removed the belt, I have retightened the hold down bolts,I have grounded the field terminal. When I applied battery power to the ARM post the generator will spin in a clockwise direction. As soon as I remove the ground from the field post the generator stops spinning. I ran an additional ground wire to the generator case thinking it was not properly grounded but nothig changed. GOT ANY IDEAS, Thank You
