My cats went a few doors down and brought back a fresh rat kill last week. Course I had to chase the old lady around with it.... They usually keep my yard free of any field mice, moles, unwary squirrels, and small dogs. Heck, they have even been known to get frisky and tackle the kids. No claws or teeth used, but they can work over a 7 year old... They use teamwork when necessary.
Not a big cat fan, but they sure are practical. From April to December, they subsist on worm medication, but nothing else, far as I can tell.
