I have between 15-25 barn cats; put fabric softeners & moth balls in the combine cab, use some mouse/rat bait from time to time.
Cats can't keep up & prefer gophers (ground squirrels), they made nests out of the fabric softener sheets & moth ball box; the bait disappears sometimes, but the little critters are still around.....
