mice control

I took a rool guard cab off of a 4020 and want to store it on a pallet in my machine shed. How do I keep mice out of it?

While it won't be control it will be a deterrent splash droplets of peppermint extract all around the pallet, on it, and throughout the cab.

Mice don't care for the smell. In the wide open space the odor will vanish quickly so refresh often.

A few barn tigers...

I have between 15-25 barn cats; put fabric softeners & moth balls in the combine cab, use some mouse/rat bait from time to time.

Cats can't keep up & prefer gophers (ground squirrels), they made nests out of the fabric softener sheets & moth ball box; the bait disappears sometimes, but the little critters are still around.....

good luck.

I have been told that they don"t like and won"t walk on barn lime but I haven"t tried it yet. But a john deere dealer here sells what is called cab fresh scent packets and I have never had a mouse in a tractor or combine sinceI have been using them. Mike

i have two black barn cats that I rarely see...and I haven't seen a mouse either. feed 'em (not much) near the stuff you want to protect.

Try a few bags of "fresh cab" seems to work real good. Poisen is about the best most effective way if you dont have cats.
