The advantage of a foot clutch is that it is easy to operate while seated and lets you control the brakes and clutch with your feet. This leaves your hands a bit more free to steer throttle,shift gears, and run hydraulic controls. The advantage of a hand clutch is that you can operate the clutch while standing, or in the case of my neighbor with a bad left knee still operate a tractor.
