I worked for an irrigation contractor for 4 years in the mid 70's. He had an 8006 that we used to pull a very large trailer vibrating plow-to pull in irrigation pipe. He bought the Deutz because it had the creeper range in it. I put lots of hours on that thing, sometimes pulling pipe in clay soil with duals on it. More often than not, had to steer with the brakes as the front was off the ground most of the time. I was very impressed with the power, low fuel consumption, and how cool it ran pulling like that.
