I too have a 1963 Super Dexta that I bought new in Nov. 1963. While picking corn shortly after,and being unfamiliar with the new-fangled differential lock, I panicked and engaged the diff-lock at pto speed. Tractor would not go into any gear ...........panic!!!! Turned out that I had broken a small coupling in the transmission (about 4"long) and repair was both easy and inexpensive (at the time). Sorry I can't be more specific as to what that coupling is called as I was very young at that time. Hope this helps as you've got a very good tractor there. Jim
