Sounds like fuel starvation. There are three filters on this model gasser. One in the fuel tank - part of the shut off valve. One is inline behind the carb like a sediment bowl. Last is in the inlet fitting into the carb itself. Next time it dies remove the bolt at the bottom of the float bowel and check for flow. If no flow then start at the tank valve and work through the three. Small chance too it could be the fuel pump. Located on top of the timing cover. Got to remove the hood, nose and rad to get to it. They are not complicated machines.
