QUIT giving them apples, they will KILL an animal like that, they get stuck in the throt and they cannot breath. Had calf do that, luck the vet was able to get it out before it died. After that we picked up and got rid of any and all apples in pasture that had fallen from trees. No animals life is worth feeding those apples to it. If you feel you absoutle have to feed them cut the apples into quarters so the pieces are small enough they cannot get them stuck and die because they cannot breath.
