In Northern Michigan. I have an outside wood boiler, the furnace is just back up and early fall/late spring when the boiler is not up and running. Won't hardly get used. Same with the hot water heater. It is only on for about 3 months, June, July, August or so. I normally light the boiler in September, October at the latest. Just be nice to take that old block chimney down, especially since I will have to re roof, and it would also allow me to make by deck a little bigger. Currently the chimney is right along side the door. With it gone, I could go wider with the deck too.
