Another tractor buying question

Why is it that people always post and ask "I just found X tractor in X condition and I bought it for $XXX. Did I get a good deal?" Wouldn't it make much more sense to post the condition of the tractor and ask what it's worth before you buy? Or are these people rubbing it in, cause they know they got a good deal? I've seen this question on almost every board I read here, as well as a couple others I read. Just wondering.
