I have an exhaust leak on my '96 dakota that has the 3.9L. This engine is non EGR. I've replaced the entire exhaust system including the exhaust manifold gaskets. Not only has the leak not gone away, but I never found where it is leaking from. (the tone of the leak also never changed before or after the swap)
At idle or at highway speeds, there is no noise. Only when I put some load on the engine is there a "tick." Am I missing something? Where else should I look for a leak? Could it be something else?
