The two engines look alike, the VP4 is 30 horse, went obsolute in 1954. The cam shaft is different. I did put a magneto from a VG4 on a VP4. The engine started but missed. I then pulled wires from the magneto that were missing out and re inserted them in another hole. I must have only swaped two wires, it's been a long time and my memory isn't that long.
