wisconsin engine help thanks

wisconsin v4 is on irrigation pumps. How do you tell if its vp4 vg4? Firing orders are different and i belive the rotation of mag/distruibutor. These are the approximate 37hp. Guess its been to many years guys!!

The VG4 is 37 H.P. and the VH4 is 30 H.P. I believe. Google wisconsin engines. I think it lists the different models. Dave

The two engines look alike, the VP4 is 30 horse, went obsolute in 1954. The cam shaft is different. I did put a magneto from a VG4 on a VP4. The engine started but missed. I then pulled wires from the magneto that were missing out and re inserted them in another hole. I must have only swaped two wires, it's been a long time and my memory isn't that long.
