I have a Ruger New model Blackhawk .44 mag. It is the most accurate hand gun I have ever owned. I bought it in 1973. I hand load all of my ammo, weigh each load. Quarter size group at 25 yards. Some folks say reloading is cheap, don't know. All I want is acuracy. For deer I use a 30-30 Winchester also bought in '73. I have a 30-06 but the four wheeler ride gets the scope off.
