Here in central IL, straw isnt a big cash crop. We harvested 40 acres where this straw came from and for part of it we put the spreader belt on and spread it because it just isnt needed. So there really wasnt any reason to run all of that straw in the combines. Did make it a little hard to rake being cut that high.
We baled a couple hundred bales off of that field yesterday afternoon and the farmer that the wheat belonged to was going to bale four or five rack loads and then roll up a few bales and the rest will stay on the field.
