I have a IH766 that is leaking fuel around the top of the pump at the circumference below where the lines are attached. I am of average mechanical ability and am thinking there is a gasket on the top that is leaking. I want to know if anyone thinks it is something I can do to take the top off and replace the gasket or are there a lot of parts under pressure that will fly everywhere when I loosen the top cover to take it off. Thanks for any help and insight. If I have to remove the pump what are all the precautions I should take.
