Thanks for the answers--we have to call our senators,aty gen's,ford,nasta, etc. this is not just a body rust prob. ford shafted us with the pinto as did a lot of other mfg's-- this is more serious- it could mean your wife and kids lives- it gives no warning it is not visable-- I'm talking about the cradle rusting tight through where it is reduced in size, before the mounting bolts- (not the bolt mounts themselves, they are fine) this should be made fool proof along with the brake lines- it wouldn't cost the mfg. only a few dollars to correct this safety prob. thanks again lets hear some hollering

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet).
