Years ago had a house with a crawl space that had developed a moisture problem, but wasn't until I put down a vapor barrier that I found out what it was. A small leak in the tub drain getting the ground wet and disappating throughout the dirt. The vapor barrier caught it and then it puddled. Folks rarely go into crawl spaces and if it had been a concrete floor of a basement, would've found sooner. Gotta stop that moisture, not good over time.
