After clean up nuttin will work as good as a nice coat of Dielectric tune up grease,,, NUTTIN,,,,the spray chit in a can is a waist of money,,, I deal with this every day,,, get to see the results,,, I clean and B 4 i install the cable wipe some tune up grease around the base of the post,,, install the cable end and coat all of the cable end best i can,,, none that i have coated have corroded,,, thats quite a few of'em,,, permatex #22058 3 oz tube $5 bucks,,, will go a long ways,,, CRC has the best deal in a cheese squeeze can,,, only problem is you can only get haft of the grease out of it,,, I then cut the can into and it's haft full, 3 to 4 oz's left,,, I remember 25 or 30 years ago when this stuff came out,,, it was $25 to $30 a oz,,, you used it sparingly,,, if you had a buddy in the army he could git ya a tube that looked like a foot long hot dog...
