There are felt washers available at any auto parts store or even walmart and the are many sprays you can buy to coat the connections that contain anti corrosive properties. Most battery corrosion comes from dissimilar metals and or/ loose fittings. I use the spray on all my connections and they last at least a year or more. Make sure all the fittings are tight. I use a battery disconnect on oone tractor where you have to screw in a threaded bolt to make the connection. I was all corroded up in about 3 months so I now will no leave it hooked together. Henry
