I've had good luck just going with bigger cables when can like fine strand wire welding cable and crimp on ends with the big heat shrink sleeve to seal cable on terminal end. There is some kind of red terminal protective stuff at many stores in brush on or aerosol cans that helps. Using a silicone or lithium grease or vasoline helps cut off air to keep terminals from corroding. If your batteries are venting or leaking too much your alternator may be over charging them too and have to fix that first or will still have lots of corrosion around batteries. There are all kinds of canned battery cleaners and protectives on the market and most work well. Plain ole baking soda solution works well as anything to clean off a lot of corrosion and neutralize it. Just google search "battery terminal protector" or "battery terminals".
