I think it will handle the disc mower all right. You may not be able to go as fast as you want to in thick hay. Another issue is the weight of the mower. If it is a heavy type like a Kuhn or NH the front end of the tractor may need a little weight. It also will probably not turn to the left well because the front end will be too light to grip the ground and the tires will slide. You can counter act this by using turning brakes or just turn to the right.
No personal experience with the tractor, but they are very popular, have good resale value, so they must be ok.
