I don't know how old you are ,but I say get it done. My first surgery was in 1972. Thats when they opened it up and removed as much as they could. In 1990 had orthoscopic done to both knees at the same time. Right knee lots of scraping etc. swelled up pretty good. Left knee just the standard get the loose stuff out. Was back to work in 1 1/2 weeks limping a little bit though. In 2006 I had both knees replaced about 2 months apart. Was bone on bone in both knees. Should of had that done 5 years earlier. My 2cents get it done! I am 55 years old. There is somewhat of a new surgery now. Son who is in army had it after deployment. He had Cadavour miniscus replacement. His knee is like new now. Long!!!! recovery though. If caught before lots of damage this can be done.
