I tore mine about thirty three years ago. Dr wanted to put it in cast for seven weeks to see if I could keep from having the operation. I asked why not operate and get it over with. He said it would take seven month if he did that. I took the cast. Guys I know that have had the operation about the same time have had more trouble than I have over the years. I am not saying it has been trouble free but other than the original seven weeks in a cast I have not had any lost time over it.
