Whoa Allan. You might want to think about that big surprise for your wife. In my experience those kind of surprises found me keeping the hound company for a couple of nights.
Seriously, what are the differences between horse hay and not-horse hay. I have a friend who keeps many horses and he turns up his nose at not-horse hay, but he could not explain what the differences were.
When I was on the farm they all got the same hay and seemed to do OK. We didn't even know there were differences.
