On a 5000, the traction disconnect is on the right side, by your heel as you sit on the tractor...BUT, as the 5000 and 6000 are completly different, I can't say for sure which side it's on for a 6000. Should be in the vacinity of your heel as you sit on it, though. Rather than hauling it to a scrapyard, why not advertise it on the classifieds or photo ads here first? Might be able to get a few more dollars that way, and have it go to someone who will repair it or use it's parts to keep another 6000 going. There are a couple guys on the Ford board (on this site) who own 6000's. Post your (its)location, too, if you advertise it. (may not even have to run an ad- just mention it on the Ford board... if someone is close enough, they'll probably be interested.)
