I've stuck a 5' cutter on my Case VAC a few time when my other tractors were tied up. Cut a lot of 3-4 foot tall grass and brush with it - and the VAC has a bit less power than your T0-30. Worked the the tractor pretty hard in the worse stuff - but overall - did fine.
You probably want to stick an over-running clutch on the PTO - your tractor - if single-clutch - will do much better with it when hooked to a mower.
