I used Norton for years, and quit it as others have said. I've used AVG 7.0 or 7.5 free for several years with good results. Then the message came through to upgrade to 8.0. I was able to finally find the 8.0 Free by scrolling down, etc. Then my troubles began. The 8.0 installation screens said that it would remove the 7.5, which it did, I guess. Then the 8.0 would not install completely leaving me with no anti virus. I eventually went back a week to a Restore point (Win xp). I still have partial use of the 7.5, cannot uninstall it to instal 8.0. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
