Replace the ignition module and coil together. What happens is a fouled plug which shorts the plug and overheats both the coil and module. What fouls the plug is either a dirty aircleaner. Or more likely the operator which has inadvertently been running the mower with the throttle pushed all the way ahead into the choke region. The operator needs to lift the hood and watch and learn to feel when the engine is at wide open throttle but off the starting choke "notch". I"ve seen tractors in perfect tune get parked by an operator who has it sputtering over rich and under powered. In 99.99% of cases the operator has never seen or read the operator"s manual.
