There is a ser# stamped in the block on the right side of the block. It won't be the same number that you tractor had, but the engine ser# was recorded at the factory on the Dubuque built tractor. There is a machined flat spot just below the gen. at the front edge of the block. The #'s will read verticle[up and down]. They may be hard to see due to a build-up of paint. take those #'s to your JD Dealer and ask to get ahold of the Territorial Service Rep. He will get the paperwork rolling.
