Good point, I had a 8n that was a hard on coils.
sounds like the same thing it would do. Just enough fire to make a spark but not enough to fire. I had this problem 2 or 3 times with new coils, those little square made in taiwian fellows
I finaly bought a used ford coil and it lasted a
couple of years until I traded the tractor. Hope this helps. Jeff
