Clooney; I checked the alternator. All I find is tag says remanufactured, all I can read is #186. The alternator plug has Red wire and White wire, The Red is to the large terminal on the alternator. The smaller white wire is spliced to a wire within the harness. Dont Know where it goes. I did check the large terminal at the alternator for voltage. It has 8.6V ignition switch on or off. System has worked fine but I miss my fuel gauge.
